Two Seed Packet Designs for Red Cabbage (left to right = front to back of packet) By Jenny Acosta
This set of illustrations was made to accompany an article about the famous foodie each student chose.
We created a name, a portrait, and a spot illustration. My foodie was chef David Chang and my spot was a juicy pork bun!
This project explored the cultures that play large roles in the coffee industry around the world. Each student was given an espresso cup and saucer set to illustrate their assigned coffee-growing country with ceramic glaze. The second photo is animated, go click it! — Jenny
The other day I came across a great food blog called Feasting on Art, run by Meagan Fizell. Her blog combines her love of food and art, as she pairs unique recipes with still-lifes and contemporary artwork in each post. You can really see how important food was in art history, and it’s a fun way to learn to cook and bring these pieces to life!

Lamb Shoulder with Roasted Shallots and Celery Root by: Jenny Acosta
Each ingredient is showcased via elegant picture frames to evoke the classical style dining room mood that I imagine a lamb dish like this would be served in.
